Terms of Service
Terms of Service
These terms apply whenever you use PetCleared. They set out what the guidance is, how Trip Pack purchases and refunds work, and the limits of our responsibility.
PetCleared translates the official requirements for taking a dog or cat abroad into plain English and links every source so you can check them yourself. It is a research and reference tool. It is not veterinary advice, and it is not legal advice.
Your vet handles the health checks and certificates, and the official government pages always have the final say. Before you travel, confirm each requirement against the sources we link and with your vet.
PetCleared is an independent project, built to make a stressful task simpler for people travelling with their dog or cat. It is not backed by a company or investors, and the site carries no advertising, which keeps every result driven by the official sources alone. A small, optional Trip Pack is the only thing we sell, and it goes towards the cost of keeping the site running and free to search.
We keep checklists correct and current to the best of our ability, and each result is dated so you can see when it was last checked. Even so, requirements change without notice and official pages are sometimes out of date or contradict each other. We cannot guarantee that a result is complete or that it will still be accurate on your travel date.
You are responsible for the final decisions about your trip. Treat our checklists as a starting point, then verify the details that matter through the official sources and your vet.
A Trip Pack is digital content: a PDF checklist and a calendar file for your route, delivered in your browser as soon as your payment is confirmed. Paddle is the merchant of record, which means Paddle is the seller for your purchase and handles payment and any applicable VAT.
Because a Trip Pack is delivered instantly in your browser, at checkout you agree to immediate delivery and give up the statutory 14-day right to cancel that normally applies to digital content. We offer a full refund anyway. You can ask for one within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. Email hello@petcleared.com with your Paddle order number and we will arrange it through Paddle. A refund returns everything you paid, including tax.
The file itself should work. If a Trip Pack you bought is faulty or does not match what was described at checkout, tell us and we will replace it or refund you.
You may use PetCleared to plan your own trips and trips on behalf of your clients. You may not use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the site for commercial use, AI training, or aggregation without our written permission. You may not resell the results as your own product or disrupt the service for other visitors. The content, design, and checklists belong to us and may not be copied for a competing service.
Where the law allows us to limit it, our total liability to you for anything connected to the site or a Trip Pack is capped at the amount you paid us, which for the free search is nothing. We are not liable for indirect losses such as missed flights, rebooking costs, holiday cancellations, unexpected veterinary or quarantine fees, or a pet being refused boarding by a carrier or turned away at a border. Whether an animal is allowed to travel is decided by the carrier and by border officials, which is outside our control.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
We may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the foot of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you have a question about them, email hello@petcleared.com.
